22,23,24 Weeks.

Wow! I'm so behind!  It has been a crazy past couple of weeks. We went to Mesa, Arizona last week for a Line-X conference.  It was so nice to relax in the warm weather.  The only thing that could have made it better is if it was freezing cold here. Unfortunately, it was only about 10 degrees colder here than it was there.  Oh well, the 10 degrees was worth it!
I had another appointment just after we got back from Arizona.  I only gained 5 more pounds this month! Not too bad, especially since I did nothing but eat while we were in Arizona.  I have another appointment in 4 weeks and then start going every two weeks after that.  YIKES! Things are going by fast! I better get busy, lots of stuff to do between now and then.
22 Weeks (2/12)

23 Weeks (2/20)

No picture for 24 weeks. Sorry.

How far along: 22-24 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 19 pounds. I really hope it starts to slow down soon!
Maternity clothes?: Even some of my maternity clothes are getting snug  :/
Stretch marks?: not yet
Sleep: I missed my body pillow while we were in Arizona
Best moment this week: Soaking up some warm sun.  JanMarie brought some cute clothes by. Chris loved the KU dress and shoes. And the worst moment: Major charlie horse in both legs! It was terrible. My calves are still sore 3 days later.
Movement: She moves all the time! Getting stronger everyday
Food cravings: While we were in Arizona I bought about 10 oranges from a guy on the side of the street (he only charged me $2!). They were so good and juicy! I've eaten all but one of them!
Gender: GIRL!
What I miss: Really wanted to get in the hot tub at the hotel!
Milestones:getting past 24 weeks!

From Babycenter:
(22 weeks)
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. Her lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and s he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath her gums. Her eyes have formed, but her irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment.
If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers her body and the deep wrinkles on her skin, which she'll sport until she adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside her belly, her pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

(23 weeks)
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

(24 weeks)
Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts her at just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn),  she cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon start to plump up. Her brain is also growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help her air sacs inflate once she hits the outside world. Her skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.
