28 Weeks

28 weeks (3/26)
I am officially in the third trimester! Woohoo!!  12 weeks to go!  I am starting to get a little uncomfortable and these pictures are looking worse and worse. The good news is the nursery is looking better! The furniture is set up and part of the bedskirt is done.

I love the color with the dark furniture and white trim. The white tree decal is going to pop so well on that color! LOVE IT!

How far along: 28 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  Babycenter says "If you're like most women, you'll gain about 11 pounds this trimester."  :(
Maternity clothes?: Yup
Stretch marks?: not yet!
Sleep: I'm moving to the other side of the bed tonight. It takes too much work to roll all the way out of bed from the corner!
Best moment this week:  Getting the furniture set up. I even put a few of her clothes in the dresser!
Movement: Sometimes it tickles!
Food cravings:  I have had pancakes and biscuits and gravy twice this week.
Gender: GIRL!
What I miss: Tanning! I'm going to spray tan next week!
Milestones: Last trimester!

From Babycenter:
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

27 Weeks

(one day shy of) 27 weeks (3/18)
2/3 of the way done! I am hoping the next 3 months go just as fast as the rest of this pregnancy has gone! I had my last 4 week appointment this week. Going to the doctor every 2 weeks should help things go by quickly. I passed my glucose test (yay for sweets!) but by hemoglobin was a little low so I have to start on iron supplements. And lucky me, since my blood type is O neg I got a shot of rhogam in my booty. That stuff burns so bad! We got the nursery painted yesterday (thanks mom!).  I love the color! I am hoping to get the furniture in there this weekend and get the crib skirt made.

How far along: 27 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I think I'm done sharing.  Let's just say its not quite a pound a week  :'(   It'll slow down at some point right?
Maternity clothes?: Yup
Stretch marks?: not yet!
Sleep: Sleep is no good! I guess it's just preparation for what's to come
Best moment this week: Painting the nursery. It wasn't fun but it looks so cute!
Movement: All the time!
Food cravings:  Lately, anything sounds good. I have found that eating ice helps with the munchies.
Gender: GIRL!
What I miss: Tanning! Now that the weather is nice, I want my skin to look like I've been in the sun!
Milestones:2/3 of the way done!

From Babycenter:
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

26 Weeks

26 weeks (3/12)
Thanks everyone for the input on the nursery.  I still don't know what I am going to do but I am getting closer to deciding.  I got my fabric in the mail this week (thanks Jessica!).  It looks cuter in person than I remembered.  Now that I have the fabric, picking a paint color should be easier....hopefully!  We got the nursery primed this week, hoping to paint next week.  It is coming together! Chris's mom took me shopping for my birthday on Sunday!  I got several new tops, I'm wearing one in this pic. What do you think? I also registered this weekend (thanks for all the input on that too)! It took 4 hours to register at Target and Babies R' Us.  It was exhausting and a little overwhelming but overall a lot of fun. I couldn't have done it without Sarah, thanks girl!
I go for my glucose test and blood work on Saturday. I'm a little nervous about it but I guess if I am gestational diabetic it will give me no choice but to cut out the sweets.

How far along: 26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I still don't want to know.
Maternity clothes?: Yup and new ones too! :)
Stretch marks?: nope
Sleep: Ughghg. My hips have been so sore I have to turn side to side all night, plus its getting harder to breathe laying flat. It's going to be a long 3 months!
Best moment this week: Shopping! For all kinds of baby stuff and for new maternity clothes.
Movement: She still moves a lot, I love it!
Food cravings: Brownies and ice cream. so good! I had a weird combo of chicken lo mein and salad. I tried to be healthy with the salad but the lo mein looked so good.
Gender: GIRL! Girl clothes are so much cuter!
What I miss: Good sleep and being able to walk without my hips hurting.
Milestones:Almost to the 3rd trimester

From Babycenter:
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. And she's continuing to put on baby fat. She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.

25 Weeks

This is what you get when your husband tries to rush you!

25 Weeks (3/5)
Only 15 more weeks left! Chris got started on the nursery this week.  There were a few places in the sheet rock that needed to be fixed and we put up a new fan and painted the ceiling white. It is almost ready to be primed and painted.  Thanks everyone for all of your input on the decal and paint color of the room. I still can't make up my mind. Maybe I will just do 'eeny meeny miny, moe'.

I have another favor to ask everyone, especially those who have kids. Sarah and I are going to register this weekend, so tell me three things you couldn't have lived without and three things that were a waist of money. Thanks!

How far along: 25 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I don't want to know.
Maternity clothes?: Yup
Stretch marks?: nope
Sleep: I've had too much on my mind to sleep well
Best moment this week: Spending time with family
Movement: She found my bladder a couple of weeks ago and loves to kick at it.
Food cravings: Still sweets, but I am trying to substitute it with fruit. I ate a ton of grapes this week.
Gender: GIRL!
What I miss: Oddly, I kind of want to run. I hate to run but for some reason I can't wait to be able to run again. I'm sure I'll remember why I hated it about 3mins into the run.
Milestones:Another week done, less and less to go!

From Babycenter:
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture

I need help!

I am trying to decide what to do with the nursery and Chris is no help.  I found fabric at JoAnn's that I am going to use to make a crib skirt.  Then I found a couple of decals from etsy that I love and now I can't decide which one I like better. The problem is I like parts of each of them.
Fabric for crib skirt.
Option #1

Option #2
The colors can be changed on both of these (which creates my next problem). The crib and dresser are dark brown. On #1 I like the leaf shape and the fact that the leaves can be a different color from the tree. I also like the birds and tree houses better. I don't like the shape of the tree as much. Oh and the name is cute but I can add that to #2.  On #2 I like the shape of the tree better. I'm not crazy about the shelves but wouldn't have to use them. I don't like the squirrels but again I wouldn't have to use them. I also don't think the birds match the fabric as much.
So help me out! Which decal do you like better and what do you think for a paint color?
Thanks!
