32 Weeks

This week has been kind of a crazy week.  We landed in Kansas City from Alabama at noon on Sunday and made it back just in time for me to change clothes and head to my shower at 3. On top of that, I ended up having to work that night. It wears me out just thinking about it.  So, because of all the craziness there is no actual bump picture (I promise it's getting bigger).  Here are some pictures from the shower:
Very cute decorations with the bird theme!

I hope I can keep this thing alive! It's so cute.

Thanks girls for all your hard work!

(don't look up my dress, yikes!) The mobile Tera made for me. Love it!
A little story about my outfit... I planned on wearing the same dress I wore for Easter.  First of all, it was pretty chilly that day and second, it was way too short. Good thing I didn't pay much for it since I only got to wear it once.
This week I have been trying to get things in the nursery organized. It is a little overwhelming but so fun to look through all of the cute things she is going to get to use very soon. She will be one
cute dressed little girl!

How far along: 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: .....
Maternity clothes?: Yup. I think I may have to start wearing Chris's clothes
Stretch marks?: Still nothing!
Sleep:  Don't get me started! I sleep through the night pretty well, but trying to sleep during the day isn't happening.  I usually get home from work around 645 and sleep until about 3. All week I have woken up around 10 and have trouble sleeping after that. Working 12 hours after sleeping 3-4 hours is no fun!
Best moment this week: My second shower and getting everything organized
Movement: Constant. I haven't had to do kick counts once
Food cravings: I am still loving the sweets. I really want to make a fruit pizza!
Gender: GIRL!
What I miss: Good, quality sleep
Milestones: Less than two months left!

From Babycenter:
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

31 Weeks

(one day shy of) 31 Weeks (4/15)
Single digit weeks left! I can't believe how fast this is going. I am starting to feel like I am on a time crunch. Technically, Baby I (she still doesn't have a name) could be here in as early as 6 weeks (I just had a mini heart attack), but I am preparing myself for as long as 10 weeks.
Sunday I had my first shower with my family. It was so much fun! I got a lot of cute stuff. I am so excited to get it all organized and put away. I have another shower this Sunday at the church, yay!

Paintings from Jessica and Chad. I love them! They are going to look so great in the room.

A closet full of clothes from my mom and JanMarie. This girl is already spoiled!
I promised Jessica I would put this pic on my blog.  :-)
I am typing this post in a hotel room in Huntsville, Al. Be Jealous! Chris is here for a class for the shop and I came along for a little vacay. My plan for the two days here by myself was to lay out and get a good tan! I am so pale, and if you remember from my previous posts I am missing the tanning bed and the tan skin that comes with it.  I even got a maternity swimming suit so I would look  half way descent at the pool. Today is a beautiful 80 degrees with the sun shining, perfect for soaking up some sun. Well, the pool is closed! They won't even let me in just to lay out! So sad :(  There goes my plan for two days, I guess I will have to go shopping!

 How far along: 31 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I've lost track :)
Maternity clothes?: Yup and that's about it!
Stretch marks?: None yet. I might just luck out.
Sleep: I have had a cold this week, so not only am I constantly turning, I can't breath out of my nose!
Best moment this week: My first shower!
Movement: Some of her somersaults are a little painful.
Food cravings: Anything, especially ice cream, brownies, cookies, I could go on but it's making me hungry.
Gender: GIRL!
What I miss: My body, I want it back.
Milestones: Single digit weeks! Yikes!

From Babycenter:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt (oh great). She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin. She's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

30 Weeks (2)

Sometimes this blog doesn't do what I want it to do.  So instead of fighting with it, I'm adding a #2!
Sunday was Easter.  It was a gorgeous spring day!  We had a great day with family and good food!

It took me forever to find something to wear for Easter.  The dress I thought I was going to wear looked like a tent!  This dress is a little better.  My family shower is Sunday, I am so excited!!

How far along: 30 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I am sure it has gone up a few pounds since I ate half of a bag of M&M's yesterday.
Maternity clothes?: Yup
Stretch marks?: None yet.
Sleep: I am constantly changing positions trying to get comfortable.
Best moment this week: Spending time with family on Easter
Movement: I think she is going to be a gymnast. She is practicing somersaults already.
Food cravings: Food in general. Nothing specific
Gender: GIRL!
What I miss: Being able to try on clothes and not look like a cow or like I'm wearing a tent.
Milestones: 3/4 of the way done! It will be here before we know it!

From Babycenter:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision (this is how bad Chris's vision was before he got lasik) — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

30 weeks (4/9)
3/4 of the way done!  I can't believe I only have 10 weeks left!  Next week will be single digits, yikes!  I don't want to do this, but I'm going to for the memories.  Here is a comparison from each quarter so far.

29 Weeks

29 Weeks (4/2)
I am wearing my KU shirt for the championship game. Sadly they didn't win, but it was a pretty good game.  By the way, this shirt is a women's small. Just want to throw that out there! :)
Not much going on this week. I am starting to get excited for my showers in a couple of weeks! I have decided I must be getting closer to the end, everyone is asking "how much longer do you have?" rather than "how far are long are you?".  The bad thing is when I answer with excitement "only 11 more weeks!" they look at me with huge eyes. I guess I'm not as far along as I look.  I did have a dream last week that I delivered at 31 weeks and 4 days. Yes, it was that specific. I looked it up in my chart and everything. She was a big baby and didn't need to go to the NICU or anything. Crazy how dreams work, just hope it doesn't come true!

How far along: 29 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Yup, I've officially gained a pound a week. My initial goal was to not gain more than 30 pounds the whole pregnancy, now my goal is to not gain more than 45 pounds haha.
Maternity clothes?: Yes, except for that KU shirt :)
Stretch marks?: None that I can see anyway
Sleep: It has been a little better this week. I hate that it takes so much effort to get comfortable. And now that Chris is stuck in the corner, I am in charge of giving him his phone/alarm off the floor. Not the easiest thing to do.
Best moment this week: A girl from work is letting me borrow her swing. It looks so cute in the nursery! I also got an awesome deal on diapers! Thanks Erin, I think...
Movement: All the time, I love it!
Food cravings: Basically anything unhealthy
Gender: GIRL! If it's a boy I'm in trouble!
What I miss: I got a spray tan, but it's not as good as the tanning bed. At least I won't be ghost white for Easter
Milestones: Third trimester is here and I am almost 3/4 of the way done!

From Babycenter:
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
